It was a beautiful October 14th when we made the trip to Dean Travis’ office at George Mason University to present the scholarship donation earned from the September 7, Herndon Classic Car show sponsored by our chapter. Sheila, Janet, and I had a wonderful time hearing from the students and the administrators about how much the money was needed and how much classroom and clinical work time was required for their degree. Taking the full day Board exams would be enough to scare me off!

Dean Travis, Director Remsburg and Mrs. Farrell all attended the show and said they had a great time.

Sheila encouraged the students to bring their husbands to the car show next year. We were proud to make this presentation for all of you.

We have been challenged by the Virginia AARP to double the amount next year.

It’s not too early to volunteer.
